  • Eliminates clutch chatter and torque converter shudder; Softens and modifies harsh shifts making them quicker in duration
  • Extends fluid life / Raises the thermal and oxidative stability of the fluid
  • Only protectant that increases the fluid’s ability to transfer heat / Protects new seals and permanently restores older seals to a like-new condition, without adverse side effects

Bought for my 2010 volvo s80 t6 that had a transmission with sluggish and early shifting. The maintenance manual said not to add any additives to the transmission. I had the oil changed at the dealership with improved shifting but still had the issues mentioned above. I put a bottle of Lubeguard Platinum and i noticed a difference immediately that only improved with time. The transmission is great now, all the issues have been resolved. I highly recommend Lubeguard.

Works well, using it in a high-mileage car and also a newer Honda Odyssey (known to have poor shifting) - smoothed out both of them.

I have a 2000 Maxima with 150k miles on it. I am the original owner and I have always taken good care of it and never driven it to harshly. Recently I have been noticing a bit of a hard shift between 2nd & 3rd under a light load; mostly driving around town. At my last fluid change, which included the transmission fluid - I added a bottle of Lubegard. Within just a few miles I could feel the improvement. The hard shift is completely gone and the entire shift range is a lot smoother. Almost as good as it was when it was brand new! I am impressed that this one actually worked.

After UPS losing this package the first time, Amazon made sure I received it via 1 day shipping after contacting them. Very easy to do. I bought this product because I drive a 2000 Sierra with 190k+ miles on it and I pull the boat all the time. With the hilly terrain and interstate speeds my transmission coolant liked to get up to temperatures around 235. After adding this and making the same trip during the same temperature outside, it was running around 220-225. That's a pretty big difference just for adding some more fluid to what you already have there. Plus, every little degree helps preserve the life if your tranny. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND!

The transmission in my 2006 MDX with 150K miles was starting to develop a rough shift in all gears and minor 5th gear torque converter shudder. Did the 3 bottles of Honda trans fluid changes two times with no improvement. And then on the third and final dump and fill added about 8 oz of lube gard red with the new Honda fluid...WOW trans shifts buttery smooth and shudder is gone - took about 10 miles of driving. Couldn't be happier....here's to hoping for another 150K on this trans!

Folks LUBEGARD is the best additive for transmissions period. Perfect for maintaining your transmission in perfect working condition. Add to new transmissions for peak performance and longevity. I was starting to have minor issues with my 2010 mountaineer 5r55s transmission. A hash reverse engagement every now and then. Added 2 bottles and within 100 miles issue gone. Folks lubegard is one of the only additives recommend by vehicle manufacturers (Google it) that says something about this product. NOW this is important. Lifeguard IS NOT a new transmission in a bottle. If you have broken hard parts or completely worn out clutch plates and bands you need a new or rebuilt transmission. If you have sticky valves/selinoids/converter shudder/harsh or delayed shifts/dirty poorly maintained transmission drain the fluid add lubegard and new fluid. This stuff works. A lot of Transmission shops add lubegard when they rebuild them. If you do not believe what I have said Google this website (bitog lubegard review) and read the hundreds of post on lubegard then you decide.

This product along with Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder Fix is nothing short than a MIRACLE..I have a 2003 Honda Odyessy with 190K miles on it. Change the Tran Fluid in it 2 times a year. Back in January the car started shuddering and slipping gears. Several mechanics told me the Transmission was done..it would be $2800-$3300 (AAMCO) to $5000 (local mechanic) I parked the car for a few months and did my research..bought this product on Amazon..drained the old tran fluid out of the car (which was black) and put Valvoline Max Life Tran Fluid + Lubegard + Dr Tranny Instant Shudder Fix. The Result: The Odyessy runs PERFECT. Barely a slip in gear from 1st. to 2nd...AND NO SHUDDER! This product is AMAZING! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

Have driven around 100 miles since adding this to transmission fluid, and it appears to have solved the hard shifting. Thus far, very impressed. To extract fluid (so as to not overfill transmission by adding Lubegard), I used clear plastic tubing to siphon 8 ounces of fluid out of transmission. If doing this, be careful and just seal the end of tubing with fingertip on each iteration until over container. I could extract around one ounce each time - tedious but better than draining entire transmission and better than problems from overfilling. So impressed initially, I ordered a second bottle to have in reserve.

I recently purchased a '07 Honda Odyssey with around 150k on it. The gear was shifting ok during the upshifts but was shifting really hard during down-shifts, especially when coming to a stop. I did 3 ATF changes to flush the AT, and the original fluid was indeed brown-ish in color and smelled a bit burnt. After 3 changes I did notice a slight improvement, but nothing close to what I considered good shifting. I heard about this product from a forum and I was skeptical just like many reviewers here, but for $10 it was worth the try. I did not feel an immediate improvement right after pouring it in, but after letting the vehicle sit for a few hours with the product mixed well inside the transmission (after a 20 minute drive), WOW! I don't know what it did there, but magically all my shifting problems are GONE! Downshifts are smooth as butter, and upshifts are improved as well (even though I didn't have any major problems with that). And with the many good properties it has such as reduced ATF temperatures, it makes it even better. I would strongly recommend this product as a first thing to try for anyone who is having rough shifting problems, it may save you thousands of dollars.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty impressed with this. The only additive I've ever found to work was Restore until this. I got two of these bottles. One to try on a 1998 Honda Prelude and a 2007 Silverado. The Prelude shifts like hell from gear 1 to 2. It keeps losing 2nd clutch pressure switches left and right. I got tired of replacing them and gave Lubegard a shot. It didn't do anything but it really isn't something it can fix though. It was worth a try. My Silverado on the other hand.. it shifts like a champ now. I bought it at 33K miles and did 5 transmission drain and fills at 50K miles. I used Amsoil SSO ATF. It improved shifting quality a bit but I never really had any issue to start with. Just wanted to change my ATF at the extreme interval. When its cold it goes from gear 1 to 2 a little rough and downshifts a little rough when coming to a stop but both of these things were never problems. Just things to get used to. Even though I have a transmission oil cooler I decided to use Lubegard as a preventative thing. It made all of my shifts very noticeably better. Still quick and firm but smooth and barely noticeable at the same time. Downshifting to a stop is WAY better. Before it would jerk each downshift but now you can barely tell its downshifting. Very impressed. I wasn't expecting much difference but it made a big one to me.
